Bonjour! A quick fish in Montreal

Over this past weekend I just went to Montreal for a short trip. I did make a bit of time for fishing stuff. Fished for an hour or so in Montreal and tried a bit on the drive back to Toronto. I also had the chance to visit the Montreal location of LeBaron.

Over at LeBaron I did get to pick up some jigs that the stores in Toronto didn't carry anymore.

Also saw this big jigging minnows, I'm very tempted in trying these out for salmon during the fall. Must be intense to get one jigging!

I did meet up with a buddy of mine and we tried our luck on the St. Lawrence. We had only an hour or so to try before I had to drive back to Toronto. It was windy and there is quite a current there. I didn't manage a bite but I did see my buddy have a fish briefly on before it shook off his Rapala X-Rap

A couple of baits I tried but to no avail.

I did give the St. Lawrence another go in Cornwall while I had stopped there for a bite. Tried for a couple casts before I threw in the towel.  Oh well, next time!
